My photography takes a critical interpretation of society and cultural views of waste, garbage and the environment. I have been interested in what Americans dispose of, how and where. I am constantly being challenged by the increase of the likelihood of new work from, unfortunately, new trash or items waiting to be recycled. This project is, simultaneously, fascinating and disheartening.
Although, I do snap a few images of flowers, landscapes, architecture, family and Rosie (my dog), my primary focus has been on the details of life – the close ups – the many images we quickly walk by while texting.
